Basic Rules
Boarding an airplane after diving
Before planning a diving trip, there are some things you need to consider. If you plan to do only one dive, you cannot board a plane for 12 hours after the dive; if you plan to do multiple dives, you cannot board a plane for 18 hours after the dive. If you are planning to dive in Cebu, please do not fly back to your home country in the early morning right after diving. For example, on the last day of a diving course, the last dive is completed around 3:00 PM. So, if you are going to fly the next day, please take a flight after 12:00 PM at the very least.
For the same reason, skydiving or parasailing immediately after diving is also not recommended. Please do not do any strenuous sports or go to high places on the last day.
How to contact us for pick up when you arrive at the airport
For those who wish to be picked up at the airport. In order to meet the pick-up staff at the airport smoothly, please make sure you have some way to contact the outside world. Medical Questionnaire
If you are taking a PADI license course, you will need to fill out a medical questionnaire form in advance. If any of the questions on the medical questionnaire apply to you, please download the medical history form below, print it out, and please have physicians sign on the medical questionnaire form.
If you are taking a professional level course, or if you are over 45 years old and diving for the first time, even if there are no relevant items on the medical questionnaire form, please obtain the doctor’s approval and have the doctor sign the medical questionnaire form.
Number of days required for the course
PADI training is based on a “mastery” style, where once you have mastered one skill, you move on to the next one. This means that some people can complete the course in two days, while others have difficulty getting certified because they cannot remove their mask underwater even after many days. For this reason, we cannot guarantee the number of days needed for the course. If you are not confident in your physical strength, have never done any ocean sports before, or cannot swim, please allow a little extra time beforehand. For reference, most of the participants can be certified in 3 days. In rare cases, it may take 4 days for those who do not exercise regularly, are not good at ocean sports, or cannot swim. On the other hand, if you have no fear of water at all, have no problem pulling out your ears, and have normal physical strength, you may be able to finish the course in two days. Do not overestimate your abilities. There have been rare cases of people who came with a two-day plan because they thought they could handle it, but when they actually tried diving, they found out that it was a much more strenuous sport than they had imagined and ended up not being able to complete the course. Scuba diving is a sport that involves wearing equipment that weighs nearly 30 kilograms. If you are a beginner who has never been diving before, you will be exhausted. However, we strongly recommend that you arrive at least the day before, get a good night’s sleep, and prepare your body for the diving course. Of course, it is also possible to divide the diving course into two weeks using weekends, so please feel free to contact us.
e-Learning
with the new PADI learning system, most of the courses will need to complete online pre-learning using e-learning system. e-learning takes about 2 weeks if you study 1-2 hours a day. For this reason, we ask that you make your reservation and purchase the e-learning materials at least two weeks prior to your arrival in Cebu. Advance payment can be made by credit card through PayPal. If you use PayPal (5% processing fee will be added).
