The EFR (Emergency First Response) course is an internationally recognized first aid training program that equips you with primary care (CPR) and secondary care (first aid) skills to handle emergencies. Its practical content is useful not only in diving but also in daily life and during travel, making it accessible to everyone with confidence.
You will learn the judgment and actions needed to save lives, building the confidence to be someone who can help in an emergency. The EFR course is also a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course and for progressing to professional levels, making it an essential step for divers aiming for the next stage.

EFR Course Key Features
Primary Care (CPR):
This course teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. It combines knowledge development, skill enhancement, and realistic scenario practice, with a strong focus on primary care.
Secondary Care (First Aid):
This course addresses injuries and illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill practice, and realistic scenario training.
CPR & AED:
This component is often included in the EFR course and teaches how to perform CPR and use an AED for adults, children, and infants.
The Value of This Course
The value of the PADI EFR course is significant. It is not only a prerequisite for more advanced PADI training courses, such as the Rescue Diver course, but the skills learned in EFR are universally applicable—not just in diving emergencies, but also in everyday situations. This training enables you to respond effectively in emergencies and potentially save lives. In addition, these skills are often required in certain industries and professions.
