The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is a popular next step after the Open Water Diver certification.
It qualifies you to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters, giving you access to a wider range of dive sites. In addition to the required Deep Dive and Navigation, you can choose three Adventure Dives—such as Night Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Rescue practice, or Fish Identification—allowing you to develop skills that match your personal interests. In the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, participants take part in a variety of Adventure Dives. These include the Navigation Dive (learning accurate underwater navigation using a compass and natural references) and the Deep Dive (gaining experience in new environments beyond 18 meters). In addition, divers choose three elective Adventure Dives, such as Night Diving, Drift Diving, Underwater Photography, Fish Identification, Peak Performance Buoyancy, or Underwater Naturalist, allowing them to focus on the areas that most interest them.

Important Notes
🔴 Please arrive in Cebu no later than the day before the course begins.
🔴 After completing the course, allow about one day for sightseeing or other activities to safely off-gas
nitrogen before flying.
🔴 PADI courses follow a performance-based system, so the exact number of days required cannot be guaranteed.
🔴 As bad weather or other conditions may prevent us from going out to sea, please plan your schedule
with sufficient flexibility.
🔴 A minimum surface interval of 18 hours is required between your last dive and boarding a flight.
🔴 All courses must be purchased directly from MSU.
🔴 In the event that the instructor determines you are not yet ready to complete the course within the scheduled number of days, and you also agree with this assessment, we will discuss the following options together and decide on the best course of action:
— Continue with additional training sessions (at an additional cost), or
— Cancel the course (a full refund may not be possible, but we will do our best to make a fair adjustment), or
— Reschedule your remaining training for another date, or
— Certify you for a suitable subset license — for example:
Open Water Diver → Scuba Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver → Adventure Diver
